The Denali Memorial Expedition will be carried out to honor the life, service and sacrifice of Eric White and Jason Wolfe, both officers of the Phoenix, Arizona Police Department. Officers White and Wolfe were killed in the line of duty on August 28, 2004, while searching for a subject who had just shot another man in the chest.


CURRENT NEWS: The Denali Expedition Team members have summited the mountain after assembling for their expedition to Denali, also known as Mt. McKinley in Alaska.

Denali Expedition Route and Timetable

The expedition team tentatively plans to carry a memorial plaque to the summit of Denali on or around June 6th. The team began assembling in Anchorage, Alaska on May 21st in preparation for the journey. The complete timetable can be viewed here.

The team will be following the West Buttress Route, pictured below.

 


About the Denali Expedition Team

The team making the trip to Alaska in May to summit Denali is made up of a group of experienced climbers and officers from all around North America. They are carrying with them a memorial plaque commemorating the lives and service of Officers White and Wolfe.
