Flowfinity Wireless Launches Blackbird

Flowfinity Wireless, a leading provider of wireless application products, today formally launched Flowfinity Blackbird, an add-on to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, an advanced integrated development environment by Microsoft. Blackbird enables ASP.NET developers to create “Wireless-Ready” applications for BlackBerry, from Research in Motion. Now, the over 3.5 million Visual Studio developers have a simple and cost-effective approach to develop applications for the over 3.5 million BlackBerry subscribers.

“We were very excited to learn that the new version of Visual Studio would enable us to seamlessly bridge the pre-existing developer skills and the special requirements of wireless application users,” said Dmitry Mikhailov, CEO of Flowfinity Wireless. “Our customers and partners are equally excited, since so many of them rely on Microsoft development tools and the Microsoft .NET platform, and since BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds are increasingly common in today’s enterprises.”
