If you have an opinion, email or comment. I am wanting to get a Bluetooth headset that I can use with my Bluetooth enabled computer. Any thoughts, opinions, or recommendations?

I’ve checked Amazon but some of the people who review stuff there get so freakin’ radical about the tiniest little things and write off-the-cuff, not-well-reasoned reviews (I guess that’s the kind of people who are attracted to writing in public?), so I don’t know what to believe anymore.

Anyhow, if anyone has an idea, let me know.

Hi Greg,

Did you make any decision after on a headset? I've been thinking of getting one, but they're not available locally for purchase. I'd have to purchase online, and I really don't know where to start.

No not yet. I stopped by a couple of stores, but all I can find is the Jabra one, and it makes you look like you walked onto the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, so... I'm not sure what Wil Wheaton (http://www.wilwheaton.net/) would recommend, but I bet that's not it. :)

So - Still looking for one, but I'll be sure to post when I find one I like.

The new Bluetake headphones look wicked not quite out yet but they have stereo (like they are proper headphones!) and a fold-up mic. they look pretty cool

I managed to get my little Nokia HDW-2 connected to my computer (well, the bluetooth places thing says it is connected). But I cannot get anything actually to use it for communication.

I would like to use Skype with it, as the built-in mic is next to the speakers and it would be handy to have a second use for the headset I originally bought to use my phone when in the car.

Hi Greg,

I realise that this blog entry is a year old but thought I might add a comment nonetheless. I use a WNI H1010 Bluetooth Headset that I bought off Ebay for $20 CDN. I also bought a USB BT adapter off Ebay for 10 bucks. It works ok except the battery life of the headset sucks (1 hour as opposed to 3-4 advertised).

I have a website that I put online that explains how I installed my Headset and got it working with my PC for VoIP calls. Here's the link:

Cheers,

Nathan
